The Art of the Reveal: Documenting the Lynk & Co Concept Build

Client: Lynk & Co.

Project: Concept Vehicle Build & Global Launch Campaign

Discipline: Long-form Documentation & Commercial Automotive Photography

The Brief: Documenting Innovation from Day One

Visually Rich was granted exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to document the birth of a Lynk & Co concept vehicle. This wasn't just a standard car shoot; this was the long-term documentation of a handcrafted masterpiece. From the first structural components to the final intricate electrics, we were there to capture every stage of the build process for one of the most exciting brands in the EV space.

The Process: Craftsmanship Over Combustion

Unlike a production vehicle, this concept car was a pure exercise in design and cutting-edge technology. With no engine to hide behind, the focus was entirely on the handcrafted materials and revolutionary electrics. Our photography needed to highlight the precision of the assembly—capturing the tactile quality of the interior fabrics and the futuristic glow of the integrated LED systems.

We worked closely with the engineers and designers to ensure that every shot reflected the brand’s "New Premium" philosophy.

The Challenge: The Race to China

The stakes were incredibly high. Once the build was completed, our team had a single 24-hour window to execute the final commercial campaign. This was the car's only professional shoot before being crated and flown to China for its global reveal.

Working under intense pressure, we utilized a cinematic lighting setup to accentuate the car's sculptural lines and unique finishes, ensuring the assets were "launch-ready" for an international audience.

The Result: A Global Visual Legacy

The documentation provided Lynk & Co with a comprehensive visual archive of the car's evolution, while the final campaign images served as the primary press assets for the reveal. The project successfully showcased our ability to handle highly confidential, time-sensitive automotive productions that demand perfection on the first take.
